About Porcelain Veneers
Cosmetic enhancement with porcelain veneers can restore a stunning smile by covering certain aesthetic concerns, such as cracks, stains, chips, small gaps, and more concerns. Thin, made-to-order shells that are fixed over the front enamel of the patient’s teeth, dental veneers create a natural, good-looking smile. Porcelain veneers are durable, however still thin enough to be not obvious, which helps the porcelain veneers to blend in with the natural teeth. Having dental veneers created by our dentists at Creek Crossing Dental Care and Orthodontics in Mesquite, TX is a efficient, easy way to hide assorted physical flaws and make a restored, luminous smile.

What to Expect
To start off the procedure of constructing the personalized dental veneers our dentists has to make space for the dental veneer by removing a thin layer of enamel from every tooth that is going to be hidden to the dental veneer. Once the teeth have been prepared, our dentists will take a digital image of the teeth, which will be used to construct the custom dental veneers in a dental laboratory. A temporary veneer can be used to protect the teeth until the final dental veneers are returned to Creek Crossing Dental Care and Orthodontics in Mesquite, TX. The custom dental veneers will be fixed to the front of the teeth using a dental bonding agent. Our dentists will adjust the dental veneers if needed to give the patient a snug and comfortable fit.
A follow-up appointment is usually arranged for about 5 - 7 days after the dental veneers are placed to ensure the attachment is secure and the fit is still comfortable. Dental veneers are more resistant to staining than the natural teeth, but to keep the dental veneers in their pristine condition, our dentists advise avoiding staining foods and drinks, like soda, coffee, tea, and red wine. Patients should start or continue to follow a good home dental care routine, including brushing the teeth each day using a non-abrasive toothpaste, regular flossing, and visiting our dentists for dental cleanings and oral exams at Creek Crossing Dental Care and Orthodontics. With good care, dental veneers may last up to 20 years.
Dental veneers are categorized a cosmetic service, so it is usually not covered by dental insurance. However, Creek Crossing Dental Care and Orthodontics in Mesquite, TX takes many payment options, not to mention our dentists and the staff at Creek Crossing Dental Care and Orthodontics can help patients with financing plans to make dental veneers more affordable.
